Compounding and Recipe making

Compounding is standard on all Torbal pharmacy scales. On models such as DRX-4C or DRX-4C2 the feature is designed to add individual ingredients and obtain a tally. Details of the recipe can be quickly and easily printed or transferred to a PC.

On the DRX-5 series scales the compounding feature goes beyond of just obtaining a total. Here the pharmacist is allowed to name each ingredient; recipes are stored into the scales memory. But perhaps the most valuable feature is a filling meter. This allows the pharmacist to perform compounding quickly and accurately. When using the filling meter a preset ingredient weight is entered; the meter then becomes non-linear and shows a target point at which the desired weight is achieved.
